Shammy’s Auto is an auto detailing business based in Toronto. They provide their clients with a wide range of services, for instance; washing, polishing, detailing, rust proofing, window tinting, 3M film protection, remote starters and electronics installation. Car dealership in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) regularly chooses Shammy’s Auto because of their professional staff, competitive pricing, on-time delivery and service excellence.
Second logo option highlight generic car image with ribbon to show quality work on all cars.
We were referred to Shammy’s Auto by one of our clients in November 2014. Our initial observations indicated that Shammy needed better branding and a new website. Upon further research, we found more complications with the website design, social media and Google AdWords. During the first consultation, we advised Shammy to completely overhaul his brand, design and online marketing strategy.
DigiPix began the redevelopment of Shammy’s Auto website in March 2015. To accomplish our ambitious goals, we worked through a number of phases:
The old Shammy’s Auto logo was just SHAMMY’S AUTO DETAILING INC. written in a simple upper-case bold font and did not have any identity to the business and brand representation.
The classic car logo was done very nice with 3rd wheel, which is hidden by the trunk.
The logo needed a more modern conceptualization to catch the eye of potential customers. We suggested the removal of “Auto Detailing Inc.” because the full business name does not need to be in the logo. By simplifying the name, there is now room for a tagline and more services under the same brand.
Our design team worked on a few concepts initially, but Shammy wanted to include a car’s outline in the logo somewhere/somehow. We wanted to design a bold, powerful and future-proof logo that would be eye-catching and have a lifespan of up to at least 15 years.
After careful research looking at modern cars, we decided to present three concepts of the logo. The first concept was in a retro style while the second was a classic style and the third, a modern style.
The 3 concept logos were displayed in the reception area of Shammy’s Auto for over a week. Shammy chose the modern concept version of the logo. A general survey of customers showed that they preferred the modern version of the logo as well.
As well as redesigning the Shammy’s Auto website, DigiPix Inc. also designed new business cards, appointment cards, letterhead and envelopes and promotional posters.
Shammy’s old website did not meet modern mobile compatibility standards, so we completely overhauled its design.
Based on Google Analytics research we did on Shammy’s Auto’s existing website, we discovered that most of Shammy’s customers searched for his services via mobile phone as opposed to via a desktop computer. By utilizing OnPage and OffPage SEO (Search Engine Optimization) we increased Shammy’s business from mobile and desktop searchers. Read the full details about the marketing here. As a result, Shammy’s website was transformed into a proper business website having better functionality than before. By utilizing OnPage and OffPage SEO (Search Engine Optimization) we increased Shammy’s business from mobile and desktop searchers. In addition to redesigning the Shammy’s Auto website, DigiPix Inc. also designed new business cards, appointment cards, letterhead and envelopes and promotional posters.
Logo design is a specialized area of graphic design that focuses on creating a unique, recognizable emblem or symbol that represents a business, product, or brand. A well-designed logo conveys the company's values, mission, and identity, making it an essential part of a company's branding strategy.
Logos can be made up of text (wordmarks or logotypes), symbols (brand marks or pictorial marks), or a combination of both. They need to be scalable, versatile, and consistent, as they will be used across various media and platforms, including websites, business cards, advertisements, and product packaging.
The logo design process typically involves researching the company and its industry, brainstorming ideas, sketching out concepts, and then refining and finalizing the design using graphic design software.
It is a process that requires creativity, a strong understanding of design principles, and knowledge of the brand's target audience and positioning in the market.
